A Military Minelayer is a cargo ship hauling many warheads, and explosives.

Defenses
Anti Ship Defenses
This is a military ship, so it's no surprise that it's heavily guarded.
- 1 Gatling Turret on the ship's rear
- 1 Gatling Turret on top
- 1 Gatling Turret on the bottom
- 2 Missile Turrets on the front
Anti Personnel Defences
the ship's interior has no defences
Trap
This ship has 15 Warheads all positioned to detonate in a chain reaction when a reverse thrusters are fired.
If the warheads are detonated, there won't be much left of the ship to salvage (shown to the right)
despite the ship's exterior remaining mostly intact, all the good stuff inside will be blown up, and you'll only be left with heavy armor blocks
Tactics
Approach
As of v1.23 (list), the Gatling Turrets and Missile Turrets aren't functioning.
So at this time, approach tactics are unclear.
Attack
As of v1.23 (list), the Gatling Turrets and Missile Turrets aren't functioning.
So at this time, attack tactics are unclear.
But one thing is clear, avoid shooting the explosives
Entry
There are 2 sections to this ship, but only the front section has an interior that isn't filled with explosives.
The floorplan (a vertical cross-section from the ship left) is shown below:
At the bottom of the ship is a Door that leads to a vertical shaft made with Passage Blocks.
This shaft leads to 3 levels:
- Top: access to 2 Large Cargo Containers, and a Gravity Generator, and the Beacon behind that.
- Middle: 2 Small Reactors and the Cockpit.
- Bottom: access to 2 Large Cargo Containers.
Disable
The reverse thruster trap can be disabled by either:
- Turning both offending Small Thrusters off from the Cockpit (thrusters 14 and 3)
- Removing / Disabling the Small Thrusters with a Grinder
The forward-most offending thruster is clearly exposed in the small section connecting the front and back of the ship.
It can easily be disabled, or even removed without disconnecting the 2 halves.
Some Heavy Armor Blocks, or Warheads and a Ramp need to be removed to gain access to the rear offending thruster.
When you can access the thrusters, use the Grinder on the Small Thrusters, at least until it is disabled, then you're ready to go.
Alternatively, if you're in a hurry, you can manoeuvre the ship to where you need it by only applying thrust in a forward direction.
This will mean that you need to point the ship away from your destination before you switch on the dampeners.
Salvage
Cargo Containers:
Each of the 4 large cargo containers can easily be raided.
Reactors:
There are 2 small reactors accessible from the interior containing a total of 2kg of Uranium Ingot
Ship Composition:
Thrusters / Gyros:
- 23 x Small_Thruster
- 2 x Large_Thruster
- 2 x Gyroscope
Reactor(s):
- 2 x Small_Reactor
Other:
- 1 x Beacon
- 2 x Antenna
- 1 x Gravity Generator
