Overview
Detects ore deposits around the ship and displays the location, and distance on the players HUD.
Usage
After placing the Ore detector block, it needs only Power in order to display ore in a 50m range (Small ships), or 150m (Large ships) around itself. However, it should be noted that Stone will not be displayed/detected by the block.
If used in conjunction with an Antenna, the Ore Detector can broadcast the ore it comes near over the array to anyone within range of it. Simply enable the option "Broadcast" option in the control panel.

Tips
- If you have a satellite/probe near an asteroid, you can use the ore detector to see what it has from a distance!
