+ | ::::I edited the main page a fair amount. I hope it looks alright to you. I double chcked for errors or spacing issues, but I might've overlooked something. Lemme know what you think of it. A rundown of what I did was - - changed "about the game" at the top, flipped "Official news" and "Release Date" around, renamed release date to "Latest Updates", edited out some old articles and stored them in the news archive and added a few new ones, removed some irrelevent information from "Latest Updates" and now has the newest patch youtube video attached to it (Is this okay? it looks very nice, but I need a second opinion), fixed the links on the bottom of the page or at least the empty void to their right side - - --[[User:Sapphire|Sapphire]] ([[User talk:Sapphire|talk]]) 16:52, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
+ | :::::Yep. As I rule I wont really argue with any changes that you feel would make it better. As long as the edits aren't vandalism or break the page ill probably approve them. If there is an issue someone will have to make a post about it on the talk page :). --[[User:Draygo|Draygo]] ([[User talk:Draygo|talk]]) 01:01, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
+ | ::::::I'm mainly focusing on the help pages, or primary ones. Bits here and there for the main page. Though I noticed once I linked the scenarios it lend to making a creative/survival game. I'm gonna have to fix that. But I'm not sure how to approach it quite yet. I'll make it happen though. I've gotta make a great impression you know! --[[User:Sapphire|Sapphire]] ([[User talk:Sapphire|talk]]) 07:57, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

+ | == Templates == | ||
+ | |||
+ | Is there a template available for '''Under construction''' or maybe? Also, I had an idea for a template. It displays the current version of the game when the page was last saved?
+ | Lemme explain. When someone finishes editing a page, they can insert a code on top lets say (if it isn't already there)
+ | <pre> | ||
+ | {{currentversion}} | ||
+ | </pre> | ||
+ | When that is entered and the page is saved, the template would grab the title of the latest update "Update 01.087.007" and also the date "19 Jun, 2015". I figure this would help people immensely by knowing how old that pages information is, not just the date but also the update number. Perhaps it needs some tweaking. Thoughts?--[[User:Sapphire|Sapphire]] ([[User talk:Sapphire|talk]]) 11:09, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
+ | :Difficulty is that a lot of the information stays the same from update to update. You can pull the date it was last updated and post it on the page if you want. The edit date is stored in the SMW property Modification Date. <nowiki>{{#show: {{FULLPAGENAME}} | ?Modification date }}</nowiki> --[[User:Draygo|Draygo]] ([[User talk:Draygo|talk]]) 14:55, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

+ | == Community questions page ==
+ | |||
+ | Alright, I'm having some difficulty figuring out how to organize this. As you may of noticed, I edited the main page a few times. Mostly to fix up a lot of empty space (Added scenarios to it as well), but I also wanted to include a spot for where interviews/questions to devs could go. I added "questions to devs" under community to keep everything in one page but that is as far as I've gotten.
+ | |||
+ | There are several interviews already posted on the wiki, one from IAmA, a couple others by a youtube blogger (if that's the correct term). However, I'm having trouble figuring out how to organize the page itself. Should I sort it from Official to unofficial? Should I sort out the events created by KSH themselves, and those written up by other people in the community? Here's an example picture i drew up real quick to give you an idea what I'm thinking, let me know what you think please!

+ | :Go for it. And you don't need my permission for this sort of thing. If you feel you can make an improvement to the wiki you can just jump in and do it. We can easily undo and revert if needed. --[[User:Draygo|Draygo]] ([[User talk:Draygo|talk]]) 14:45, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
+ | ::It's not that I need permission, a second opinion is what I'm asking for. There doesn't seem to be any other regular here. I would ask for opinions on the forum, but the wiki forum on KSH isn't viewed much, and it's full of junk sadly. Wish I was a moderator there to organize & clean it up. lol --[[User:Sapphire|Sapphire]] ([[User talk:Sapphire|talk]]) 15:55, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

+ | == Wiki drops MYSQL errors at times ==
+ | Hey! I wanted to ask if you are aware that the wiki drops at times MYSQL errors. I just found your talk page, so I have no error handy, but I will drop it here as soon as it happens again. I perceived it mainly when editing [[Server:Nehilium]] so I at least thought it could have something to do with a template. But I'm a mediawiki noob, so that guess has to be handled with care. I get presented with the error when hitting save, but not always. But the save goes through anyways. I for myself have so no real problem with it, except convenience (have to edit the url to go back to page, oh noes!).

+ | == trouble with Mod listing ==
+ | |||
+ | I'm currently editing the [[Mods]] page. I noticed a template that hadn't been used but was similar to factions & servers. I plan to put this straight into public view and into the hands of modders. However, I'm having difficulty getting the mod list to function correctly on the page. I must have overlooked something. I also wanted to edit the actual mods template itself [[Template:Mod_page]] and add some more values to it, for example ...
+ | <pre>|Workshop link = Link your mods workshop link here</pre>
+ | But I'm wondering if this template is attached to other ones, do I have to edit other templates to make it function properly? --[[User:Sapphire|Sapphire]] ([[User talk:Sapphire|talk]]) 14:17, 2 July 2015 (UTC)

+ | ::Awesome info! But there's something else wrong. I had managed to fix my code for the mod list (typos I tell you), but none of the listed mods are linking to their pages correctly. + | Was it really too tiny? lol I thought so too, but when there's multiple images, they tend to break the page. What size do you think would be a good compromise? + | :work seems good. But yes 200 px is too small, at that size it might as well just be a link because that's what most people will do when they click on it, just go watch it on youtube. + | == Gallery Extension ==
+ | |||
+ | Does our wiki support any kind of gallery extension? Placing multiple large images on the page sometimes really make the page very ugly I've found, and that's why I've dread making the images any larger than 200px. But you suggested for them to be bigger, and I'm just curious if there's a gallery function of some sort. It's not extremely necessary I can figure out a layout, it'd just make it easier for me. --[[User:Sapphire|Sapphire]] ([[User talk:Sapphire|talk]]) 14:03, 23 July 2015 (UTC)

+ | What did you update within the template? I noticed a ton of edits. Do I need to rewrite the tutorial page at all? Or was it all just minor changes? --[[User:Sapphire|Sapphire]] ([[User talk:Sapphire|talk]]) 07:21, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
+ | :Template now puts a notice on the top of faction pages that haven't been updated for 6 months, pending a change sometime within the next month where I'm going to start archiving dead pages. - Basically we need a lever to pull to cull outdated factions from the wiki. I just created that lever. Hopefully factions will notice the notice banner on their pages and update it if they are still around. In a week or so I'll come up with a plan on attempting to notify the faction owners, and probably change the template again so the page can automatically ask for self-deletion if its over a certain age without an edit. --[[User:Draygo|Draygo]] ([[User talk:Draygo|talk]]) 09:27, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
+ | :If you browse the faction page and check some faction pages you should see some marked with the new warning. I just changed it again to be a bit better. I'm thinking at this point I'm going to put the culling date at 8 months to start if that sounds good. But for now I want to let that notice sit and get some attention. --[[User:Draygo|Draygo]] ([[User talk:Draygo|talk]]) 09:35, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
+ | ::Twice a year sounds good. Half a year is more than enough notice for those using the wiki. When you finally decide on everything, I'll edit the help pages to make note of it.
+ | ::Also, are you going to do the same for [[Servers]], and [[List_of_Mods|mod listing]] pages? I'm unsure personally how old some of these server pages are. Mod ones it's easy to say no one is maintaining the current ones before. But that's nearly fixed. I did update the help page for mod developers looking for a space to keep mod information, I haven't made it public quite yet though. --[[User:Sapphire|Sapphire]] ([[User talk:Sapphire|talk]]) 14:03, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

+ | == Need help moving tables on main page ==
+ | |||
+ | I ran into a huge wall today. I discovered that people using different resolutions/browsers would encounter some broken pages. In this case, the Main page. The problem here seems to be with "'''Latest Updates'''" table. I even got a screenshot showing that the video was completely off-screen. So a solution I thought of was to simply place '''Latest updates''' below the "'''Information'''" table and have it stretch across 100%. Below that would be "'''Links'''" and "'''Official news'''". I would fill in the empty spaces with a brief summary of the last update, etc. This would solve a lot of issues, and I can even put more content on the page. Problem is that I don't know how to do this. I've been trying for several hours and I can't make it work the way I want it too. I don't want to trouble you for it, but I really need your help. Your CSS is way beyond mine. My understanding is beginner at most. Could you please help me with this?
+ | |||
+ | I've drawn up what I want moved, and where if that helps. I'd really appreciate your help with this! I've done a lot of things on my own so far, but I really do require help this time please. Image Sizes
We updated the mediawiki enginer to 1.21 and for some reason the images cannot be resized. They are ignoring the markup that specifies pixel dimensions. Any idea why? Or how we can fix? It's breaking a lot of layouts
- not sure at all really, ill have to look into it. also the edit bar is missing in the wiki as well Draygo (talk) 05:57, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
Brazilian Portuguese
I just translated the entire controls session to portuguese brazil Controls/ptbr, next step is translate the main page as you suggested and gradually translating the Community_portal. Is it enough?
Update... Main page in brazilian portuguese --Neuworknetral
- Make sure you sign your edits on talk pages using the signature button. Were going to need more content than that before we make the change necessary to enable pbtr officially. I wont be able to make that change this week regardless and Ill have to talk to rhine about it. --Draygo (talk) 01:57, 9 April 2014 (EDT)
Diplomacy
Hey Draygo,
Is there a chance where you can post my faction up on the Diplomacy page for player-created factions?
Thanks, Stryker25 CIC, ICBA
- Not for now, the diplomacy page needs to be reworked because the table is at it's maximum size. You are already listed on the factions page --Draygo (talk) 13:00, 24 March 2014 (EDT)
Hi Draygo
My problem with the componentbox is now ok. I had used an older version of IE. In chrome and firefox i dont had any proplems. after an update to an newer IE it ok too.
Another Q. is it possible to change pages without the key-captcha-puzzel. I change sometimes 1 char and need 30 sec. to puzzel. :-) Thx Adi2412
- Ill look into disabling the capcha for editing. I find it quite annoying too. Make sure you sign your posts with the tilde's so it date and timestamps it. ~~~~ or hit the signature button in the edit screen. --Draygo (talk) 13:28, 28 March 2014 (EDT)
thx it's better to change.--Adi2412 (talk) 13:39, 28 March 2014 (EDT)
Hey Draygo,
I think I resolved the issue for the standings. Could you check them when you have a moment? Thanks! -- Stryker25
Spam
I'm seeing a recent influx of new questionable accounts. Is it just best to keep our eyes out for spam and ban later? I don't think there's an easy way to tackle this.--Rhine (talk) 15:50, 8 April 2014 (EDT)
- best way to deal with it is to drop bans when they make the edits. Is the capcha enabled on account creation? I am rather busy this week but I can check into it next week. --Draygo (talk) 01:53, 9 April 2014 (EDT)
Cockpits
Hi draygo (sorry for the little work done). Currently we have 3 pages for 3 cockpits, it will not be easier to create a single page "Cockpit" and put the 3? --Binary25 (talk) 00:09(GMT+2) 13 April.
- Do not apologize for doing little work, its not like you are getting paid for this! But no each cockpit needs its own page or the SMW wiki wont work. A single cockpit page linking to the 3 item pages will work for information about cockpits in general. --Draygo (talk) 00:47, 13 April 2014 (EDT)
- Like a disambiguation page? The current Cockpit page redirects to Cockpit 1. --Pathfinder (talk) 22:49, 13 April 2014 (EDT)
- sure. If you think it best. --Draygo (talk) 23:24, 13 April 2014 (EDT)

Please remove the ads
So I decided to register here and help out the community, but when I went to register I had to disable adblock for the captcha to load.
Oh my god! Ads everywhere. Unsavory, intrusive advertising at that! Fetish dating sites, loc targeted employment scams, lead generation pages, pills, questionable software. Even the captcha had an ad embedded in it. This was my confirmation page
Please remove the advertising from this wiki. It's an eyesore and I will not donate my time to contribute to someone's revenue stream.
-- Xeoz (talk) 23:42, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
- Not my decision you need to talk to Rhine about that, as far as I understand it is to cover operating costs of the servers. If there are particular ads that are inappropriate let us know and I'm sure rhine can block them. I am currently getting ads for vacations and items on amazon. --Draygo (talk) 23:48, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
- Okay, I've added a topic to Rhine's talk page, pointing here. Ad discussion -- Xeoz (talk) 00:23, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Xeoz, the ads are necessary for hosting costs. If there are particular ads that you find offensive, please let me know and I can further investigate to see if they are appropriate for all ages. However, since they are adsense, they are actually based on your search history and browsing habits. Please see this page for more information: https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/9713?hl=en -- Rhine (talk) 00:46, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- Wiki hosting varies from free to cheap. If you're compelled to manage your own mediawiki install for a site with this level of traffic hosting can be had for $5-$10 a month.
- As for search history, I have none. I don't run logged in on google, I use adblock, and I use startpage as my search engine. The ads are being targeted entirely on geolocation and content guesses for this site. There is no point in trying to blacklist every single campaign in adsense that is not appropriate. Ad campaigns are transient and will be constantly changed. You'll need to have a huge list of blacklisted keywords to even come close.
- -- Xeoz (talk) 02:17, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- "free" wiki hosting comes with ads, so I don't quite get your point. Other free wikis that are provided by the community, and they generally have ads (minecraft wiki anyone). We made some changes to the ad preferences which should tamp down on some of the issues - we have no interest in showing 'dating' ads. Your current adsense preferences are here: AdSense preferences where you can opt out of any interest based advertising, or just be able to edit (remove) interest categories. --Draygo (talk) 21:15, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

- When you modify an image you need to give it time for the wiki to propagate the change to the cloud services it uses to host the image. The images are not directly hosted on this website. Also see this for uploading icons: Help:Item pages, mark anything you want deleted with the {{Delete}} template. --Draygo (talk) 23:28, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
Faction proposal thread
Awhile ago I had made a thread regarding the factions page on the KSH forums. (Linked below)
I'd like to hear your opinion of it on there if you can spare a few minutes. I don't want to go changing it without some outside input on the subject. Rather discuss it further with at least one other person. lol

Faction Templates issue
Okay so I have a few more questions regarding the templates. I realize there is already a page explaining some of this more or less. But I'm still learning (slowly) on how they work. This faction page Alliance Federation Space Corp has been having issues posting their faction page on the listing. Now I reviewed it 3 times, and removed what I think was preventing their listing.
- nocat = disable automatic templates and properties.
But I'm also wondering something else. If someone did not include

- -When they created the page, does that also prevent them from being listed on the Factions page listing?
I'm wanting to learn as much as I can. lol
Any in-depth explanation of the template system would be ever so helpful. If you have a few moments!
Thanks in advance! --Alouria (talk) 19:19, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
- yes nocat would prevent them from being listed on the factions page. the subst is only to help them create their page it is not a requirement. To refresh the factions page for any updates you can apply ?action=purge to the url as well. --Draygo (talk) 04:27, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
- Okay so I was correct, I just didn't know the refresh page part. Sorry, I'm a bit sloppy at first. I'd like to really get into the template discussion with you though. I'm not really sure where to being asking. I have many questions about it, how it works, how to make one, etc. --Alouria (talk) 04:31, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
Icons
Thanks for updating the icons for the 3 cockpits!! I'm not sure what I was doing wrong to be honest. I use photoshop, and there seems to be a white border around all the icons I extract. The icons don't appear to be the same as yours too. Was I just looking in the wrong location?--Alouria (talk) 19:18, 3 September 2014 (UTC)

Video Extension & Main page edit
Hi Draygo, do we have video embedded support on our wiki? I was thinking of linking Space Engineers update videos along with their current updates. Also a second question regarding the main page. I updated the wiki to the current patch. However, when I finished updating the main page, it didn't seem to update. It only appears to be an edited copy. Can you explain the steps I need to follow to edit/save main page? Thanks in advance! --Alouria (talk) 22:18, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
- The main page is a highly visible page, only administrators can save changes to the main page, that is why you can edit the editcopy, and an administrator will merge the changes in the editcopy with the main page. And yes the wiki supports embedding video. --Draygo (talk) 03:45, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
- Okay that's great to know. I have some major changes I want to make to the front page, exciting ones. I will get to it later on, but I'm hoping when you proof-read it when its done that you'll highly approve! As for the embedded video, what is the wiki code for that? =) thanks again! --Alouria (talk) 05:38, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
Instant chat
Greetings Draygo! hi, hello! Is there an instant chat extension on here? Reason I ask is because I'd like to talk to you in person so to speak. Either with the extension or which ever instant chat. I have many things I wanna chat about, clarify, etc. I know I could post them all here, but it'd help to talk in live chat. If you can't or don't have time, I understand. I thought I'd try an ask though! --Alouria (talk) 00:07, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
- Probably best to contact me on steam: DraygoKorvan --Draygo (talk) 05:39, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
Main page current version
Any chance we can bake the current MainPage/editcopy into the real one? I set up a Template:Current_Version that is referenced instead of having outdated, inaccessible info on the front page.
- Unfortunately everything on the main page needs to be protected. --Draygo (talk) 21:23, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
- Well in that case can we get more users authorized to change it? The reaction time for this was painfully slow.Ketura (talk) 00:47, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- I should be better with it as my schedule is clearing up (for now...). I wouldn't be opposed to more users being authorized to change it. Oh before I forget there is a Template:currentversion that usually needs updating as well. Its mainly for substitution. --Draygo (talk) 04:57, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
- Well in that case can we get more users authorized to change it? The reaction time for this was painfully slow.Ketura (talk) 00:47, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
- d'oh, I don't know how I missed that.Ketura (talk) 16:20, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
- So I'll come out and say it. Can I get the user level access to change the main page? I mean, it's no mystery that minor versions come out Thursday and hotfixes Friday/Monday, but there's still been no better reaction time on that.Ketura (talk) 22:41, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
FAQ
So I moved the FAQs page to FAQ, not knowing that mediawiki has apparently reserved that page (which is retarded beyond all belief). Is there any way to release the /wiki/FAQ page from its clutches, or is FAQs really the best solution? I can't undo it because of the wiki's reservation of that page, so it's stuck as it is until you or Rhine or someone takes care of that. Ketura (talk) 22:42, 8 November 2014 (UTC)
Come back to IRC
Come back to IRC m8! With all the new API's and programming blocks we would all love to see what you have to say about it!
Wiki being maintained
It's been awhile since I've ventured here on the official wiki. However, I noticed that it's not as maintained as it once was. Are you the only one that still updates it? Also, a second note that I cannot edit the main page of the wiki to add the newest update to it. --Sapphire (talk) 05:23, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
- I am on hiatus from the game so I'm not updating the wiki as religiously. I do keep an eye on it and make sure its running smoothly from an administrative point of view. Thanks for your help!. Also for the main page you just need to edit the /editcopy, as soon as I see it edited, I check it then merge it with the main page. This will happen usually within a day of the edit, sometimes less. --Draygo (talk) 13:13, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
- Alright that's good to know. I know my way around a wiki fairly well. Thanks also for the promotion too. I'll do what I can, and find time for. If I have questions, would you prefer the wiki here or perhaps the new IRC on the forum? --Sapphire (talk) 13:42, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
- I get any messages here within a day :). --Draygo (talk) 14:51, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
- I edited the main page a fair amount. I hope it looks alright to you. I double chcked for errors or spacing issues, but I might've overlooked something. Lemme know what you think of it. A rundown of what I did was - - changed "about the game" at the top, flipped "Official news" and "Release Date" around, renamed release date to "Latest Updates", edited out some old articles and stored them in the news archive and added a few new ones, removed some irrelevent information from "Latest Updates" and now has the newest patch youtube video attached to it (Is this okay? it looks very nice, but I need a second opinion), fixed the links on the bottom of the page or at least the empty void to their right side - - --Sapphire (talk) 16:52, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
- Yep. As I rule I wont really argue with any changes that you feel would make it better. As long as the edits aren't vandalism or break the page ill probably approve them. If there is an issue someone will have to make a post about it on the talk page :). --Draygo (talk) 01:01, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- I'm mainly focusing on the help pages, or primary ones. Bits here and there for the main page. Though I noticed once I linked the scenarios it lend to making a creative/survival game. I'm gonna have to fix that. But I'm not sure how to approach it quite yet. I'll make it happen though. I've gotta make a great impression you know! --Sapphire (talk) 07:57, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

Templates
Is there a template available for Under construction or maybe? Also, I had an idea for a template. It displays the current version of the game when the page was last saved? Lemme explain. When someone finishes editing a page, they can insert a code on top lets say (if it isn't already there)
{{currentversion}}
When that is entered and the page is saved, the template would grab the title of the latest update "Update 01.087.007" and also the date "19 Jun, 2015". I figure this would help people immensely by knowing how old that pages information is, not just the date but also the update number. Perhaps it needs some tweaking. Thoughts?--Sapphire (talk) 11:09, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- Difficulty is that a lot of the information stays the same from update to update. You can pull the date it was last updated and post it on the page if you want. The edit date is stored in the SMW property Modification Date. {{#show: {{FULLPAGENAME}} | ?Modification date }} --Draygo (talk) 14:55, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
Community questions page
Alright, I'm having some difficulty figuring out how to organize this.
There are several interviews already posted on the wiki, one from IAmA, a couple others by a youtube blogger (if that's the correct term).

- Go for it. And you don't need my permission for this sort of thing. If you feel you can make an improvement to the wiki you can just jump in and do it. We can easily undo and revert if needed. --Draygo (talk) 14:45, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- It's not that I need permission, a second opinion is what I'm asking for. There doesn't seem to be any other regular here. I would ask for opinions on the forum, but the wiki forum on KSH isn't viewed much, and it's full of junk sadly. Wish I was a moderator there to organize & clean it up. lol --Sapphire (talk) 15:55, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
Wiki drops MYSQL errors at times
Hey! I wanted to ask if you are aware that the wiki drops at times MYSQL errors. I just found your talk page, so I have no error handy, but I will drop it here as soon as it happens again. I perceived it mainly when editing Server:Nehilium so I at least thought it could have something to do with a template. But I'm a mediawiki noob, so that guess has to be handled with care. I get presented with the error when hitting save, but not always. But the save goes through anyways. I for myself have so no real problem with it, except convenience (have to edit the url to go back to page, oh noes!).
You are the pilot of this wiki, or? And Rhine is the captain, but currently in cryo, or? ;)
User:Radar - 24 Jun 2015
- Its not something we have figured out as it is not supposed to display them. The errors don't stop the changes from being saved, so you can safely ignore them even though they are annoying. --Draygo (talk) 00:31, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you. User:Radar - 24 Jun 2015

Under construction template not working
I'm pretty rusty at this it seems. But I can't seem to get my new template to work. Did I forget to add something? Templates:Under_Construction --Sapphire (talk) 14:59, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
{{Under Construction}}
You had it in the wrong namespace. Templates go in the Template: namespace not Templates:. I moved the page to the correct spot. --Draygo (talk) 11:06, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
trouble with Mod listing
I'm currently editing the Mods page. I noticed a template that hadn't been used but was similar to factions & servers. I plan to put this straight into public view and into the hands of modders. However, I'm having difficulty getting the mod list to function correctly on the page. I must have overlooked something. I also wanted to edit the actual mods template itself Template:Mod_page and add some more values to it, for example ...
|Workshop link = Link your mods workshop link here
But I'm wondering if this template is attached to other ones, do I have to edit other templates to make it function properly? --Sapphire (talk) 14:17, 2 July 2015 (UTC)
- The templates populate SMW properties in order to allow you to query their information. Reference : Semantic MediaWiki for more infos :) --Draygo (talk) 06:27, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
- You will have to edit Template:Modinfobox as well to make it accept any information you want to add to the template. --Draygo (talk) 06:29, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
- Awesome info! But there's something else wrong. I had managed to fix my code for the mod list (typos I tell you), but none of the listed mods are linking to their pages correctly. They are only displayed as normal text. I skimmed through each template, but my CSS and HTML isn't very amazing. Can you have a look real quick for me? Mods --Sapphire (talk) 11:44, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
- The problem is you are not querying any SMW fields with your ask query. To query a field you need to | ?variablename and the order is important.

{{#ask: [[Category:Mod List]] | ?modname | ?description | ?type | ?modversion | ?version | format=template | link=none | template=Mod list | introtemplate=Mod list/header | outrotemplate=Mod list/footer }}
The template mod list wants a certain number of variables, not passing it any is causing the issue. --Draygo (talk) 03:40, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
- All this time I thought that something was wrong with the templates themselves, when really it was just how I fetched it. Alright now I'm starting to understand. Thanks so much for taking the time to look. It has really made my life easier. I'm a novice with CSS & HTML, so learning new things like this really helps me. I can't wait to make this available to the modders! --Sapphire (talk) 09:51, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
API Portal on Main page
What was the original intent or purpose for this page?
I'm not sure what it's for, so I've left it for quite some time--Sapphire (talk) 17:22, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
- Part of a project that was started to fully document the api, which has been on hold for a long while now. --Draygo (talk) 16:15, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
Media sizes
Was it really too tiny? lol I thought so too, but when there's multiple images, they tend to break the page. What size do you think would be a good compromise? OH and, what do you think of my work so far on the block pages? =) --Sapphire (talk) 07:12, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
- work seems good. But yes 200 px is too small, at that size it might as well just be a link because that's what most people will do when they click on it, just go watch it on youtube. I was thinking 600px is a good size. --Draygo (talk) 09:09, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
Gallery Extension
Does our wiki support any kind of gallery extension? Placing multiple large images on the page sometimes really make the page very ugly I've found, and that's why I've dread making the images any larger than 200px. But you suggested for them to be bigger, and I'm just curious if there's a gallery function of some sort. It's not extremely necessary I can figure out a layout, it'd just make it easier for me. --Sapphire (talk) 14:03, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
Faction template
What did you update within the template? I noticed a ton of edits. Do I need to rewrite the tutorial page at all? Or was it all just minor changes? --Sapphire (talk) 07:21, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
- Template now puts a notice on the top of faction pages that haven't been updated for 6 months, pending a change sometime within the next month where I'm going to start archiving dead pages. --Draygo (talk) 09:27, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
- If you browse the faction page and check some faction pages you should see some marked with the new warning. I just changed it again to be a bit better. I'm thinking at this point I'm going to put the culling date at 8 months to start if that sounds good. But for now I want to let that notice sit and get some attention. --Draygo (talk) 09:35, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
- Twice a year sounds good. Half a year is more than enough notice for those using the wiki. When you finally decide on everything, I'll edit the help pages to make note of it.
- Also, are you going to do the same for Servers, and mod listing pages? I'm unsure personally how old some of these server pages are. Mod ones it's easy to say no one is maintaining the current ones before. But that's nearly fixed. I did update the help page for mod developers looking for a space to keep mod information, I haven't made it public quite yet though. --Sapphire (talk) 14:03, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
Need help moving tables on main page
I ran into a huge wall today. I discovered that people using different resolutions/browsers would encounter some broken pages. In this case, the Main page. The problem here seems to be with "Latest Updates" table. I even got a screenshot showing that the video was completely off-screen. So a solution I thought of was to simply place Latest updates below the "Information" table and have it stretch across 100%. Below that would be "Links" and "Official news".
I've drawn up what I want moved, and where if that helps. I'd really appreciate your help with this! I've done a lot of things on my own so far, but I really do require help this time please. Thanks in advance! --Sapphire (talk) 14:29, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
- Fiddled with it a bit, next step is to do the same with the sections then everything should stay readable. Unless they are using IE6 - which I'm sure is broke anyway. --Draygo (talk) 15:22, 1 August 2015 (UTC)
Itembox - broken name space
I just finished adding all the tons of missing blocks to the wiki. However, I noticed any long names (Upgrade modules especially) seem to overlap into the information below it. Here's some examples:
Can this be fixed so the box expands slightly increases in size if the name is fairly long? Are you able to make a slight adjustment to it? --Sapphire (talk) 20:27, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
Added FAQ in forums
This should technically clear up some questions people have, and in-fact a topic for them to ask smaller ones. If you have some time, could you quickly skim over them and see if you'd like to add anything? I'm mostly unsure what the procedure is in regards to email confirmations. Here's a link to the topic in the KSH forums: http://forums.keenswh.com/threads/faq-questions-for-se-wiki.7375084/#post-1286895628 Oh, and I have returned once more to continue cleaning up. lol --Sapphire (talk) 08:03, 28 November 2015 (UTC)
