Talk:Hydrogen
This page previously said that H2 has an energy density of 1556 J/L. This is incorrect. A single hydrogen engine consumes H2 at a max rate of 1kL/s and has a max power output for 5MW. That means it is converting at a rate of 5kws (5000J) per L. --Qazerowl (talk) 23:22, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
<EnergyDensity>0.001556</EnergyDensity> <!-- MWh/litres -->
is what's written in GasProperties.sbc, it determines hydrogen thruster fuel consumption. Compromised and added both values to the table. --Vox Serico (talk) 00:07, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
So if that number is in MWh/L, shouldn't that come out to 5.6 million J/L? --Qazerowl (talk) 01:10, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
The comment in the code seems to be either wrong or misleading. This reddit post goes into more details. --Vox Serico (talk) 07:41, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
