There are a number of settings that can be changed to affect various ways the game works. They can be set when creating a new world or adjusted on existing worlds by selecting them in the load menu and clicking "edit settings".
They are as follows:-
- Name
- The name of the world, which will appear in both the load menu and the join menu (if your world is open for others to join)
- Description
- A short description of the world.
- Game Mode
- Sets the world to either Survival or Creative mode.
- Inventory Size
- Only available in Survival Mode. Multiplier for the size of the player's inventory.
- Assembler Efficiency
- Only available in Survival Mode. Affects the amount of ingots used by the Assembler to produce components.
- Refinery Speed
- Only available in Survival Mode. Affects the rate at which the Refinery processes ores into ingots.
- Max. Players
- The maximum amount of players on the world at one time.
- Max. Objects
- The maximum amount of small objects (ores, dropped components, etc.) on the world at one time.
- Online Mode
- Determines if your world is joinable for other players. "Offline" means it is not at all, "Private" means it can only be joined with an invitation, "Friends" means only those on your Steam friends list can join, and "Public" means anyone online on Steam can join.
- [There's a setting here I can't remember]
- [Someone please fill it in]
- Enable Copy/Paste
- Only available in Creative Mode. Determines whether or not players are allowed to cut, copy and paste.
- [A bunch more I can't remember]
- [I really hope someone else does]
- Thruster Damage
- Determines whether or not thrusters will damage objects they fire into.
- Cargo Ships
- Determines whether or not the random cargo ships will spawn.
