Tools
These "tools" are already in the game, but some are disabled. Judging from trailers, previews, rumors and common sense, this is how the they will funciton in future updates:

Welder (Currently Disabled)
The Welder is the main tool used for assembling blocks and repairing broken structures. Damaged layers can be repaired by replacing components in those layers (e.g. if a turret is damaged and its integrity decreases to 80%, you most likely have to only replace the first few layers of steel plate).[1]
Grinder (Currently Disabled)
Used for disassembling layers (See Welder).
Hand Drill (Added in Update 01.008.004)
Used for mining Raw Materials.
