Classification

The classification of ships is based on tonnage and utility, using conventional wet-navy designations. These classes are able to describe the relative size and functionality. These definitions are by no means strict. The definitions were first suggested in the Keen Forums. Note that the current standards of classification have no strict definitions of fighters.

• Military
  • Patrol Craft ( < 1,000,000 kg )
  • Corvette ( 1,000,000 - 2,500,00 kg )
  • Frigate ( 2,500,000 - 4,000,000 kg )
  • Destroyer ( 4,000,000 - 5,000,000 kg )
  • Light Cruiser ( 5,000,000 - 7,000,000 kg )
  • Cruiser ( 7,000,000 - 10,000,000 kg )
  • Heavy Cruiser/Pocket Carrier ( 10,000,000 - 15,000,000 kg )
