Manual Mode
Manual Mode is the "realistic" version of Space Engineers (the opposite of Creative Mode). Players will need to harvest resources and craft blocks from scratch. Players will build blocks by installing a frame and then finishing construction through several stages. Components are supplied from the player's backpack and installed layer by layer "like an onion." Components include many different types of blocks.[1]
Tools
While manual mode is not yet implemented, in a trailer you can see that tools are being used. These "tools" are already in the game, but disabled. Judging from trailers, previews, rummors and common sense, these will be the tools and their uses:
Automatic Rifle | File:Automatic-rifle-icon.jpg | Disabled | Personal Defense | Presumed to be used for man to man combat. |
Hand Drill | File:Hand-drill-icon.jpg | Disabled | Tool | No specific information has been given about his object 'yet', but it is expected to be used for hand mining as opposed to the ship drill. |
Welder | File:Welder-icon.jpg | Disabled | Tool | Your main tool used for assembling blocks and repairing. |
Grinder | File:Grinder-icon.jpg | Disabled | Tool | Used for disassembling blocks so they can be used again. |
