The History of the Church
Come closer to the plasma lamp, friend, and hear the words I have to speak. After the destruction of Earth, humanity was broken. Our kingdom had shattered, and those who were not still in shock and grief began gather as many of the pieces as they could. Many tried to turn back to religion to regain some purpose in life, but all of the stories took place on a dead world. But then, the wise and benevolent Saint Gudwind was given a vision from God. God showed him that many His champions had to be reborn in metal and sparks, so that they would spread both His love and His judgment throughout the Void. And thus, Saint Gudwind founded the Church of the Metallic Rebirth.
The Church's practices
The Church mostly scavenges metal from any source they can get their hands on. No one outside of the church knows where these things go, and there are an abundance of theories on what the church is trying to achieve. Many belive that the church is a collection of madmen and pirates trying to pass off their thievery as, "holy work." Some think that the church is building a massive station designed to be both a battle ship and a city that people would live in. A few think that the church plans to enact the vision of Saint Gudwind by building massive warships to house the spirits of various religious figures.
