Survival Mode
Survival Mode is the "realistic" version of Space Engineers (as opposed to Creative Mode). In this mode players will need to harvest resources and craft blocks from scratch. Blocks are built in several stages using components from the player’s backpack. They are installed layer by layer “like an onion.” Components for the blocks may include many different types of Blocks[1].
As of Update 01.021.024 survival mode has been enabled. For more detailed information on this mode, visit Mark Rosa's development blog.
