Founded in 2032, the AuraTec Corporation quickly grew from a small research and development team to an international corporation specialising in aerospace engineering. By the end of the second space race in the early 2040s, the corporation was already firmly grounded in the research, development and construction of spacecraft, and assisted in the construction of many early craft designs before the invention of the jump drive.
History
2030s
- 2032: The AuraTec Corporation is founded by Auhrii Lato.
2040s
- 2044: The second space race ends, with AuraTec securing multiple contracts to assist with spacecraft construction in Earth orbit.
- 2049: AuraTec completes the construction of its first standalone vessel, a freighter designed to haul large quantities of materials from the asteroid belt to Earth and Mars.
2050s
- 2051: Following the invention of the jump drive, the corporation goes underground, and the corporation's freighter disappears without a trace. No news of AuraTec is heard for several decades.
