Meteor storms are a randomly occurring event, during which a number of meteorites will spawn and be launched towards the world from the direction of the sun. Their severity can be altered in the [[World Settings]], and the options are as follows:-

; Safe : No meteor storms. 
; Normal : Meteor storms will occur rarely, more as a nuisance than a real threat. 
; Cataclysm : Meteor storms occur regularly and cause significant damage. 
; Armageddon : Meteors never stop. Meteors are on fire. Meteors will cause major damage. Good luck.

Meteors appear to come in two sizes; a larger one, which is clearly visible from a distance and can tear through 4x4 chunks of large light armour, and a smaller one, which is only visible when relatively close and can tear through a maximum of 1 block of light armour.
